Group Training

Group Training Classes can be an important part of your dog’s learning. They can allow for your dog to socialize and give you a venue to proof your obedience commands around various distractions with the help of an experienced trainer. Group classes can also be a cost-effective way to maintain your training, providing more sessions for less money.

At K-9 Connection, our group classes are unique for several reasons. Everyone who attends is required to have completed some foundational one-on-one training, so that the dogs and humans are prepared for the level of distraction that the group setting provides. This creates a more orderly and controlled environment, which facilitates easier and more advanced learning for everyone. Additionally, the exercises are designed to teach your dog how to pay attention to you in the face of real world distractions. You can expect a level of obedience that goes far beyond the average training class.

Most importantly, our group classes are provided as a membership, which gives you the flexibility to vary your class types and times to meet your personal needs.

Group training classes can be a component of any overall obedience training or behavior modification program. The average dog will require at least 3 Private Lessons or a Boot Camp prior to coming to class.

Most new clients interested in the group training classes begin with a package, which includes 3 Private Lessons. These Packages are one of our most popular options as they provide the benefits of both one-on-one training and group training.

Combo Package 1

3 Private lessons and 3 months of group classes
This package is great for those looking to get started in our training without a large initial investment. Dogs will learn to walk politely on leash, hold a stay for long periods in a sit, down or place position; not jump lunge etc., and may include off leash obedience, with the appropriate equipment. Commands will be followed around moderate distractions, without the need for food bribery or yelling.

Combo Package 2

3 Private Lessons and 6 months of group classes
Our most popular package, provides great savings!
This package is great for those who would like a more complete training program. Dogs will learn to walk politely on leash, hold a stay for long periods, not jump lunge etc., and may include off leash obedience, with the appropriate equipment. Commands will be followed around high levels of distraction, without the need for food bribery or yelling.
