Behavior problems are complex and every dog/owner situation is unique. During the evaluation, one of our experienced Trainers will assess your dog, as well as the dog-human relationship for a number of factors including:
- Your dog’s disposition.
- How much of the behavior is genetic versus learned.
- Factors in your dog’s environment that might be contributing to the behavior.
- What your dog is most responsive to, and where can we find leverage to create the change we need.
- The way you are living with your dog and how it could be potentially contributing to their imbalance.
The evaluation last approximately 30 minutes, and the Trainer will give you advice about changes you can make right away to start seeing progress. We will also follow up with training recommendations, if applicable. In most cases we are able to send you home with a light skill to work on with your dog.
Our goal is always to help you to see the world from your dog’s perspective. When you can understand how your dog thinks and interprets the world, you will be in a much better position to resolve the behavior issues.
